Update

I haven't posted in a while but did want to share that some changes occurred over the weekend. As of yesterday, Mom rests more comfortably on a hospital bed with a catheter now in place. Hospice came for an initial visit back in April, and Mom was being visited once a week by a team leader, Patti, who we love. Today is the first day a home health aid has been out to the house.

Calls are appreciated, and we know you'll understand if Mom doesn't feel like talking. Also, we know friends would like to visit after they call FIRST, and we ask for visits to be kept to a maximum of 15 MINUTES to allow Mom to get the rest she needs.

Thank you so much for your prayers for my mom and our family!

Mom's Birthday/Family Weekend

Mom's birthday was on Thursday, April 29, and Lisa's family flew up from Florida that afternoon and stayed through Monday! We enjoyed our time together and were soooo blessed by all the food that was provided for us so that none of us had to cook! Below are pictures of our long weekend together!

How Great is the Love

Thank you for the way
That you love us
How you love us

Thank you for the way
You have made us

We were created
For your pleasure
For your presence

For the glory of your name
Thank you for the way
That you love us

Jesus, faithful King
Lord with grateful hearts we sing

How great is the love
How great is the love
Of our Savior

The weight of the cross
The curse of our shame
You carried it all
And rose from the grave

Thank you for the grace
That has saved us
You forgave us

Thank you for the way
You have freed us

We have been ransomed
We've been rescued
We've been purchased

With the price of your own life
Thank you for the way
That you love us

Easter

On Monday, Mom received her 3rd treatment of Avastin at Hopkins. She had been at Hopkins the previous Monday for the original date of that treatment, but her blood pressure was too high so the treatment had to be rescheduled.

We are all looking forward to a visit from Lisa's family (who live in Florida) at the end of April! What a blessing for us all to be together to celebrate Mom's birthday! Another important date in April is Mom and Dad's anniversary, April 13!!!
